Facing the big 3-0, Kate seems be nicely settled into being an adult. Then, a surprise birthday party goes off the rails, revealing that she might just be missing some things. 

Fulfilling everything I wanted in a blowout 30th, we covered a mansion with gold sparkles, string lights, chaotic jewel-toned decor, and pink flamingos. On the built set, we countered that in Kate's apartment - a cozy and carefully styled home that lands somewhere between hipster and cute grandma.
